Tianjin Funa Yuanchuang Technology Co., Ltd. has successfully realized the industrialization of the world's first carbon nanotube touch screen through the combination of production, teaching and research. At present, it has produced 7 million carbon nanotube touch screens, with a monthly production scale of 1.5 million. It has successfully supported Huawei, Coolpad, ZTE and other mobile phones.
The discovery of carbon nanotubes in the 1990s set off a wave of research on carbon nanotubes in the world. Due to the complexity of technology and process, most of this technology is still in the laboratory stage. Fan Shoushan, an academician of the Chinese Academy of Sciences and a professor of Tsinghua University, told the reporter that carbon nanotube technology is one of the most cutting-edge technologies in the world at present. Because carbon nanotube materials have many characteristics that are difficult to achieve with traditional materials, they have always been the research topic of scientists from all countries.
It is reported that Funa Yuanchuang uses carbon nanotube conductive film to produce touch screen. Compared with traditional ITO film, it has four advantages: first, the raw material is carbon, instead of rare metal indium, and the material cost is low; The second is flexibility, high bending resistance, knock resistance and scratch resistance; Third, it has conductive anisotropy and can design touch screen with new principle to avoid patent litigation of other manufacturers; Fourth, the production process is simple, low energy consumption and low pollution, meeting the requirements of energy conservation and environmental protection.
It is understood that the successful industrialization of this technology is the result of long-term cooperation between the team led by Academician Fan Shoushan of Tsinghua University and Foxconn Group. As early as 1995, Academician Fan Shoushan began to engage in the research of carbon nanotubes. In 2000, Foxconn Group cooperated with Tsinghua University to establish a nanotechnology research center. Then they successively made a series of breakthroughs in the field of basic research and technical equipment of carbon nanotubes, and developed ultra-thin capacitive carbon nanotube touch screen and multi-point capacitive carbon nanotube touch screen by their own strength. At present, their touch screen sizes from 1.52 inches to 10 inches have been mass produced, and they have obtained 107 authorized patents around this product.
